Not all scarring can benefit from scar camouflage treatments. For best results scars should be:

–  At least 1 year old

– Not show redness

– Paler than the surrounding skin

– Not noticeably sunken

It’s crucial that your skin isn’t tanned at the time of the treatment. This is because the ‘prescriptive’ skin-shade pigments need to be blended to match your natural skin colour. If your tan fades, you’ll end up with a mismatch and your treated scar will look darker than the surrounding skin.

It’s important to keep sun exposure to a minimum once your scar has been camouflaged. Full aftercare will be provided after treatment.

There isn’t any downtime. You can go back to your normal daily routine straight after having medical needling done. However, the area that has been treated will be red and raised for a number of weeks. So you may have to plan your sessions accordingly. Eg, around holidays, etc
